For the Love of Lobster

On June 12th, 2019, St. Felix Centre hosted its 9th annual fundraiser event, For the Love of Lobster. The event was a great success, in an atmosphere full of wonderful smiles and generous hearts.

This year the fundraiser presented a refreshed look: Four food stations, each with different and delicious variety of dishes; a video station with headphones to enjoy a spirit-lifting video; a photo-booth where people had fun taking pictures with their friends to remember the night; an oyster bar; great music; and the live and silent auctions were full of interesting items.

SM Francesca Buczkowski, President of St. Felix Centre Board of Directors, welcomed the guests with some opening remarks. Right after, she presented the St. Felix Award to A-J. McKechnie, William Broughton, Linda Shick, and Richard Salmon for their outstanding contribution to St. Felix Centre’s work and mission over many years.

At the end of the night, Brian Harris – our Centre’s Executive Director – addressed the audience to thank them for their support and invited them to continue to be involved with St. Felix Centre throughout the entire year. He expressed the Centre’s deepest gratitude to this year’s event sponsors: Felician Sisters of North America, Felician Services Inc, and the Buffalo Bisons.

The hard work and dedication of board members, volunteers and staff paid off to offer a great evening for all attendees. Everyone left with a feeling of joy in their hearts, knowing that their participation will make a positive impact in the lives of those accessing St. Felix Centre’s services and programs – beautiful human beings who currently face complex challenges, such as homelessness and mental illness.

Here is the video that we played during the event. The audio was made for headphones, so we recommend to use them for a better experience:
